Cayman options

If you had the choice of the following options, what would you choose
19" Sport Design Wheels or stay with standard 18"
or
PCM
or
Full Leather with Sport Seats
I am debating this and probably need to choose 2 from 3. I know not everyone agrees but resale must be considered.

It depends - what do you want from the car?
If going 19" - are you also fitting PASM?
Do you fit the sport seats? (Are you comfortable?)
I woudn't bother with PCM, updates from Porsche for previous generations of Sat Nav are "patchy" at best.
Use a Tom Tom or PDA - cheaper and more updatable.

I am debating this and probably need to choose 2 from 3. I know not everyone agrees but resale must be considered.

Choose the 2 options which you personally want the most. If future residuals are a consideration the more basic you keep the spec the less you will lose in depreciation. Having the standard desirable options are usually metalic paint, speaker upgrade but not Bose, climate control, sports seats, and if you feel a like spoiling yourself a little full leather is usually quite desirable at resale time although you will lose half the original cost for sure. After that its all downhill residual wise [&o]

I see threads like this on most of the car enthusiasts forums. You should you buy and spec the options you want from the car not what the next person might want. You are buying a new car for YOU and therefore if you want PCM have it, don't think will I get 1k more at trade in. Just spec what you want for your car for the duration you will own it and enjoy it. Cars depreciate that is a fact if you spend 5 or 10k on options you will of course loose more but you will have had the fun, enjoyment and convienence of those options. We seem to get really hung up on depreciation and forget that we buy the cars for ourselves and should enjoy that fact. Personally I'd have the PCM, Full Leather and the 19" then you will never think what if as it would be a pain to retrofit the full leather interior [;)]

In normal driving you can not tell the difference between the 18" and 19" option - the ride is good on the 19"'s and you will never be driving quickly enough on public roads to sense the difference on the limit. Therefore, the wheel option is probably based on looks, and if you like the looks, then go for it. I fell in love with the 19" looks - despite all my better judgement about added weight, compromising ride and handling blah blah - but I love the looks and don't regret it at all.

If you are a slim build then sports seats will hold you in place much better than the rather flat normal seat - in the S these will be leather so there will be a greater propensity to slide about in them. I also recommend the sports steering wheel (much nicer to hold) and the bi-xenon headlamps.
