Cayman R

I read somewhere recently that there are around 255 Caymans registered with the club but there may well be others who haven't joined the register. Once I have the information I will issue a list of general numbers/variants and regional affiliations. ( Not a list of addresses ). So if all Cayman owners who use the forum but haven't registered will contact club office to register we will have a clearer idea of the quantities. Again, once I have the information on how to register ( I did but forgotten how ) I'll put it into the FAQ section.

ORIGINAL: colski1961 1 here too.....(further North - near Inverness) ;)
Hey Colin can't imagine there are many Peridot up your way so i may have seen you at weekend, we was travelling from Loch Ness to Thurso on Sunday then Thurso across to Durness and down to Gairloch on the Monday. Looked pretty dirty if it was your's LOL. We was in the wife's Audi for a change! Jontymo

Sunday morning did a couple of stints up part of the A9 then down the back roads - and yes it was in need of a wash when I got back home ;) It's rare to see another Porsche up here, nearest dealer is in Aberdeen, so I can count on one hand the number of locally owned Porsche, I've never seen another Cayman R here, let alone a Peridot one ;)

Counted only 10 Cayman R's in the register, 184 Cayman S's & 58 Caymans ( 252 in all but one I know has been sold although still on the register ). 26 have PDK Transmissions while 24 have Tiptronic and the rest although not all have stated we can expect to be Manuals of 5 or 6 speed as appropriate although the Cayman could be specified with a 6 speed. It makes me wonder how many are with TIPEC rather than PCGB but the majority are probably not with any club at all.[&o]

By the looks of it. You have a better chance of finding a hen with teeth than see another Cayman Ron the road

Pretty rare no doubt and even more so in the club surprisingly! I see that you had a VX220 turbo, my son has one, nicknamed the two seat go kart! One of those cars you just can't get out of!!!Literally!!!!!

Most definitely have to agree over the VX. Went are around like it was on rail although it a basic setup. The VX you had to be young and supple to have one to. The Cayman R is close it the VX in handling but very comfy lol
