Hello all
This is my first post
Have enjoyed my Boxter s 987 3.2 litre 2005 model
Used as everyday car and also trackdays and sprints and hill climbs
Now looking to purchase Cayman R
I would welcome speaking to Cayman R owners to hear of their car opinions
Regards

Awesome cars Love mine, manual ofcourse, buckets and Spyders wheels , finished in peridot green. Should be for sale soon when my GT4 arrives.

As mentioned above you wont be disappointed with the R. Best road going Porsche and capable of occasional track work. I have owned and have had a few Porsches. Just wish I found the R ages before and saved a fortune. My only critisism is that the brakes dont have the feel of a GT3 but this can be sorted with MC and pad upgrade easy enough. Another 20bhp would be nice but plenty enough for the road and fun. My car is manual, bucket seats ,L/W Spyder wheels, Sport Chrono ,A/C ,Alcantara Int .What more do you need? Oh no cupholders making it a lightweight[:D][:D][:D] A tad over 12k miles now. The sort of spec above seems to be desirable and it's even going up in value, but what ever R you go for will be smiles per miles. Just try to get as near as you can to your own personal desired spec but be a little flexable or else you may never find that perfect 100 per cent spec of your choice. Very hard car to replace now knowing how good it really is. Also with what Porsche have for sale and with what I have had in the past, in my opinion I wont be selling any time soon. Good hunting for the R Cliff.

Thanks to Cliff and others who responded to my first post Bucket seats are not an option as the car will also be driven by my wife and she needs the seat height adjustability I have driven a Cayman GTS at the Porsche Silverstone mini track. Was in the wet. Car was nice but too fancy, not a raw driving experience Also test drove a Cayman R on the road and was very surprised at how well it rode. I was expecting a much harder ride. Did not feel any harder than our Boxter The search for my R continues Regards

As Cliffs wife I occasionally drive the R and as i am around 5ft I also use a cushion (peridot colour of course)which does the job. Tracy
