Cayman Retro fits

No it is not and in any case would require; Control Unit, wiring loom and a new compressor unit, the latter being 1500 pounds.

Thanks Nick that's a better reason than the OPC gave as they only referred to the wiring loom being individual to each car in which case a control unit and thermocouple maybe a second power supply, no mention of the compressor.

Interesting to note that Sport Mode is now available as a retro fit and I had a letter from the OPC ages ago offering cruise control as a retro, Sport Shift is available but when I bought my car which has most of the goodies factory fitted it didn't have climate control which I would have liked and asked for a retro fit.

At that time it couldn't be done yet I'd think it a relatively simple upgrade, they said that it would entail changing the dash loom each being made specially for each car.

Does anyone know if it's available?

Nick, My Cayman was first registered in late 2006 and in the PET listing 28.08.2006 there is only one part number for a compressor also Porscheshop only list one price for the compressor, I have read from yourself here and others also on Planet 9 that there is a difference in the compressor do you know what the difference is? It just seems strange that a car manufacturer would have differences but they not be listed.
