Cayman S 09 4 wheels off.

Best way to remove all four wheels at once for re-furbishment?

Also was there specific factory colours available on this model/year?

Thanks.

Glad that was of use Andrew.

I just had a thought re your factory wheel colour question. This company offers a complete wheel refurb service (they often advertise in Porsche Post), so they may be able to help you; also they offer a collect and loan wheel service if you're interested:

Andrew,

The original colour Porsche use on their standard coloured wheels is Diamond Silver but can vary slightly by year it often matches the VW Diamond Silver so you can get the touch up sticks and try them to make sure it matches if that is what you require.

For safely supporting the car with all four wheels off! Not that easy unless you can access a two post lift but you have four jacking points so four trolley jacks could be used preferably with the jacking point adaptors for secure locationor at minimum wooden blocks to suit but as you'll then be relying on the hydraulics it's best practice not to be tempted to go underneath, how many of us have done just that anyway.

Easy enough to use two jacks on one side swap to spare wheels and then do the other side. I have two adaptors and jacks for that purpose when changing wheels, I also use two alignment pins in the hubs to make it safer regarding clobbering the brake calipers!

I once saw a jacking beam which someone on Planet 9 had devised it reached across both jacking pads left to right both of which had location pins and then he jacked under a centre pad on the beam using a low level jack then it's possible to get jack stands under and have them well spaced.
