Cayman S exhaust outlet

As you may be able to see from the picture (left) the outlet from the exhaust system on my car is a sort of parallelogram shaped piece of metal.

I have seen other cars (Boxster S and Cayman S) with separate twin pipes which look far smarter. Are these after market supply or a factory option?

Any idea of what costs I'd incur to switch to 2 pipes?

Thanks
David

Hi David, I replaced my tail pipe with the official part via Porsche (987.111.981.00 @ £243.89 inc VAT and PCGB discount). Its the same style tail pipe as the factory fitted sports exhaust. The major issue was fitting.....the nuts/bolts/jubilee clip had rusted on and it took my local indie 30mins to saw the thing off however it does look good fitted. If memory serves I got £50 for the 'old' style tail pipe via ebay. Hope that helps.

Thats the simplest option and retains the original single outlet but replaces the decorative tip with a tequipment dual round outlet. The gen 2 / Rs60 boxster true dual outlet can also be fitted but its a little more involved.
