Cayman S full leather interior as standard?

Not really. Just got a letter from Porsche this morning that there is a typo in the Cayman S Price list i.e. Page 63 states UK specification includes full leather interior and that this is incorrect [:(] and the correct information for UK is on page 26 which states partial leather.

What does everyone think of the new synthetic material? The problem I have with it is: it is made to look like leather and that is what cheapens it; the expectations when looking at it from far are that it is leather and as soon as you get closer the disappointment kicks in, whereas before what you saw is what you got on closer inspection... or maybe this is deliberate to force everyone to go for the full leather upgrade?

Another mistake in a UK spec. Bit like TMC on early 997's.
Some of the options e.g. sports seats are not selectable without accepting the leather upgrade. Imitation leather is a no no in my opinion and I would tick the option for full leather without hesitation. At least there will not be any disappionted owners because the Porsche configurator specification has the Cayman with partial leather.

When we spec'd our (now cancelled) Cayman we went for full leather and electric leather seats.

Interesting that we appeared to be paying for the leather on the seats twice. When we queried this with the salesman he agreed we were paying twice, but didn't see the problem![&:]

That's cuz you look too affluent Larry! [;)]

Cabcelled the order because we couldn't get the spec we wanted until at elast 6-9 months after launch, not even coloured seat belts![]

So we decided to wait until such time that we could get what we wanted.

But we probably won't buy one now - not convinced having seen one that they're worth it.
