What do we think about a 06 3.4 cayman S as a everyday car /trackcar any pointers ie has to have chrono ? cheers for any pointers

I had an 06 Cayman S an an everyday car - no chrono package. The only option my car had was a Bose HiFi - which was excellent. Options seem to be desirable to potential purchasers.
I did 25k miles in it and had nearly 50k miles on it when I sold it. I never got round to tracking that one. I was 100% reliable. It was a brilliant car - fast yet comfortable, handled very well and you could really exploit it as you always knew where you were with it. I found the car pretty torquey and it is fast and will pull all the way to 170mph with no drama. If you are thinking of buying one make sure the discs & pads are in good shape. The discs are prone to corrosion. Obviously check the tyres. I only ran mine on Michelin Pilot Sports which are OE for the car - they were very good in the dry and wet but you cant go anywhere in the car if it snows. Make sure it has had a major service including plugs and brake fluid.

I have my reservations about using it as a track car after killing the engine in a Boxster on track....just don't think they are up to the job if you are pushing on....

I love my one, it is great!
Can use it as an every day car, but I went out and bought an Audi A4 for fear of snow but also to keep the mileage down on the cayman.

Mine has the sport chrono (awesome [:D]) and PCCB (good but worringly expensive to replace).
