Hope you all read the excellent review in this months PP by our own motoring critic John R Hunter .

Excellent write up John I admire your journalistic skills.

Brian

Thank you Brian, the cheque is in the post! [:D]

I'm delighted to see my work in print, although a bit miffed it has taken over a year to get published. I actually wrote, edited, photographed and filed that story within 48 hrs of the original new Cayman launch. It feels a bit like old news now. []

I'd like to echo Brian's comments John.

I was a bit puzzled though as to why your Cayman appears to have gold wheels in some pics and silver (of another type) in others. Something to do with the lengthy delay in publication perhaps?

Jeff

Thanks Jeff,

The silver wheels are the originals, which now have winter tyres on them, and are used during the winter months, which is when I did the test drive and wrote the piece. The gold wheels are a second set I bought and had re-furbed gold with summer tyres, so some of the more glamorous shots of the car were taken the summer before.

My penchant for gold wheels is a source of amusement for certain Scottish members. [:D]

A good read, the only one i've read so far in this issue. Good point about being made to think the newer car must be better, that all depends on what you want from your car.

:)
