[attachment=tn.jpg] Hi all having laid the car up for the winter yesterday I thought nice day lets give her a run to work the wife was dead against it but 6.15 on the A617 2miles from home a deer ran out on me smashed bumper broken radiator broken fog light the wife was not happy especially as spent last Saturday 4hrs detailing her the car has now gone to the garage waiting for the insurance assessor to give his verdict will keep updating on repair processe

ouch, unlucky. I guess it was more unlucky for the deer! Could have been worse, we see deer vs car quite often up here (Highlands) and usually there's far more damage and with a car as low as the Cayman you are lucky that it didn't hit the windscreen.

Love the colour by the way.

Colin

Any pictures of the Deer as I would like to know whether to keep my Cayman or part ex for a Deer depending on which came off best....

Keith.

Bad luck, but your instincts to use the car were correct. I too love the colour, and am sure it will soon be beautiful again.

Yes, very bad luck - but one photo would have sufficed[;)]

I had a deer clear the bonnet crossing the Ashdown Forest early one morning only the way to work. That wakes you up!

Took some of the excess photos off, as the captain said one is enough, a bit of tough luck and hope the repair is done soon.

Hi all update on the car my Insurance has been very good dealing with my bump the garage has informed me I get the car back this Friday total bill is £3200 so just in time for runs with the club

Good to hear that you're sorted Mark and will be back enjoying your car this week.

£3,200 for the repair? I suppose that reflects the high cost of Porsche parts but body repairs are always expensive. Hope it hasn't put too big a dent in your pocket and NCD.

Jeff
