Cayman windows

Noticed recently my windows were steaming up a lot (with the car sitting) so was wondering about the seals and also if I had a moisture problem.

Then today when I was driving I put the drivers side window down and when it came back up there was some water on the insde. Tried the same on the passenger side and it was the same plus some squeaking.
I'm hoping its maybe just some water left on the seals from washing the other day and not that my doors are full of water!

Any pointers on what it might be before I go ripping the door cards off?

Graeme, do you run the A/C? It really helps to reduce condensation in general. If not it could also mean that water condensing will tend to sit in the window seals.

In case you've not noticed Graeme, it has been raining rather a lot recently.! Hopefully, as Kevan says, it's just water-saturated window seals but if you've got a damp carpet, it's possible that one of the door membranes is perforated and is leaking water, causing condensation. Jeff

Are you sure it's water? 997's and 987 have a notorious problem with grease staining the inside surface of the glass, which is more noticeable when its wet. Mine has done it from new, still not right, I just live with it.

Has it been raining?!! [:D] I use the a/c but the car has not been used much recently so maybe that and the cold weather had made the condensation worse. It clears after you start up, but takes a little bit longer than you'd normally expect. It had been in the body shop to get stonechips tocuhed up and I was wondering if it was maybe solvent or paint vapour that had found its way into the car. There was a smell of solvent in the car, maybe a/c leaking I suppose? Carpets aren't wet so at least that is something. Pretty sure it was water, at least when the window came back up. It was liquid and clear so.... Just small amounts of it though, little more than a few drops gathered. Its annoying as it the water dries then leaves a mark on otherwise clean windows! The condensation could be any type of moisture I suppose but with the water I found on the inside of the window, it makes you think its water.
