cd changer died

My 6 cd changer in my 2005 Cs has just died , I hardly use it and have not used it since having a new battery fitted

This morning when I tried to use it the screen just displayed loading cd and listed the cds in the changer but now it just says insert cd loader or something similar

I have checked the fuse which I think is the same as the PCM and that is fine

Are these covered under the new extended warranty and has anyone else had a cd changer die on them ?

My CD Changer had been playing up and would often refuse to play CDs and try to load each CD then say No Cds present.

I left the car with the OPC for a week whilst I was on holliday and asked them to try it daily.

When they delivered the car back it had a new CD changer, fitted under the extended warranty.[:)]

From recollection, Yes the PCM and audio system are now covered under the new warranty.

Thanks for the replies , I went to the OPC and they ordered me a new cd changer , plus found some more work to do under warranty , a new horn and a new steering rack
