Cd changers what make ?

Hi all just joined looks a good place to be loads of info and stuff i just gone back to a porky i have a 2001 boxster 3.2s but the cd changer has been stolen at some time just trying to find out who makes them and if i need to get a genuine unit ? any info please

I believe all Boxster factory units are rebadged Becker units

The Porsche CDC-3 changer is the same as the Becker 2660 except for the Porsche logo and price. It is a Sony unit with Becker electronics.

Some years ago the 2660 was discontinued and replaced by the Becker 7860. The 7860 is a bit smaller so it is not a direct fit on the factory mounting bracket, and it has a memory problem.

I would suggest looking for a used or refurbished 2660, or a used CDC-3. They are not hard to find, at least in the US.
 
Hi all thanks fore all the info i got a full set up from ebay but only need the cd changer so the head unit can be a spare its only a tape head unit bit may come in one day thanks again
