CD disc won't come out ?

looking at another post on here it said that the latest Boxster's head units are able to read MP3 discs.
I decided to give it a go and after inserting the disc it said it was unreadable.
Press eject and nothing happens and now say's no disc although the disc is still in there

Any Ideas ?

Unlucky.

For the time being, just pull the fuse to the PCM/headunit and re-insert. When powered up it will spit the disc straight out.

It is saying 'No Disc' because it doesn't recognise the format of the disc. (same as when you put a non dvd disc into a player and the format isn't recognised). Will do no damage to the player or the disc.

Cheers,

Forgive me for asking ,is it obvious which fuse is to the PCM head unit and is it located in the drivers footwell

Yup, just pull back the panel and lookup the fuse. Easy as...

Will try and troubleshoot when you're sorted.

Many Thanks Popolou,

It worked first time panic over !

Row D, Fuse 9 for anyone else stupid enough to put things in slots that may not work and get stuck.

Spent all day today cleaning her and water repellant on the hood etc then finish the day off in a stress over a CD !

No problem, glad you're back up and running.

MP3 compatability needs PCM and it has to be a post MY2005 unit. If all this sounds good, then ensure that the CD itself is a bog standard 700MB disc with as little overburn as possible and that it's a single "closed" session.
