Does anyone have a CD player from a 97-99 generation Boxster (pre-fibre optics), working and good condition. No code necessary. CDR 210 or equivalent would be ideal.

If this is the CDC-3, I have one which I bought new for my '99 996, used for just under a year, and removed when I part exchanged it.
Where are you? If we could meet you are welcome to try it (I assume you're pre wired) and we could agree a very reasonable price.

Sir,
Could you mail a photo to JJY65@aol.com? Is it a Porsche unit? I am in Florida where I live 9 months of the year. So it is a long drive to see it! I need a stereo for my UK boxster.
Thank you,
J.Yarwood

Yes, it is a Porsche unit - part number 993 645 130 00, made by Becker (their model number BE 2660) I think I paid about 250GBP. Best check with your Porsche dealer about compatibility. I'll take some photos shortly.

The other option is to just buy a new Becker unit, not a rebranded Porsche one. Buying Becker will retain a unified look to the dashboard (not so with the techno flashy wizardry of Alpine, Sony etc) and give you extra features such as ipod connection, or bluetooth for hands free mobile phone use. New Beckers units are available around the £200 mark, and just use the standard ISO wiring harness fitted in the car.
