Censorship on Tipec/Porscha-1 Forums !!

Brett928S2

New member
Hi ALL,

Just to let you all know,,,the posts I put on the Tipec/Porscha-1 forums have been CENSORED BY REMOVAL...

Apparently "KENWARDC" doesnt like the fact that Porsche owners from PCGB should be allowed to post there....

The word "Dictator" comes to mind...

Even my posting to tell all there that the reference post to the poll here had been removed was itself removed totally within a couple of minutes []

So if you believe that we SHOULD be able to discuss PCGB matters and polls there PLEASE let them know by posting there and asking for the postings to be put back up....

ANY posting that I make "THERE" regarding this matter WILL be censored and REMOVED instantly....

Your opinions here will also be valued :)

All the best Brett [:D]

Brett....

It's not so much what you post as HOW you post it. You come across as very aggressive and arrogant and that's not what we moderators want to see on any forum. It's not about "free speech" and you'll find that out here as well I'm sure, should you begin posting in the same manner you used on porsche-1.net. "Free speech" is a dream - it doesn't exist, even when people say it does... think about it.

Regards
Chris

So what was aggressive about a reference to a poll here ????

ALSO those postings you CENSORED AND REMOVED contained postings by other PCGB and TIPEC members.....were THEY aggressive as well ??? hmmm?

Free speech is NOT a dream...As I said in a removed posting from YOUR forum,,I was a soldier for a lot of years and fought for "free speech" in a lot of countries where you could get SHOT for opening your mouth in the wrong place...YOU have no idea of the value of free speech...as YOU do NOT allow it :(

CENSORING REFERENCES TO PCGB IS TOTALLY RIDICULOUS...

All the best Brett :)

Must say Brett for a moderator your not being very moderate. A lot of Porsche owners are members of more than one forum like myself for instance. But I don't go around aggressively promoting cross forum links and trying to poach, yes poach people to other forums.
Ever since you started this endevour to get a 928 forum running on here there has been trouble and people getting upset, mainly by you as your idea of moderating is to ingorne or insult someone.
I congratulated you on getting this forum running and thought now it would start to build on it's own merit.
If you can't build the forum you want on it's own merit without alienating other forums and there users maybe I congratulated you a little prematurely.

Um, well, I didn't really want to get involved in this, but you asked for feedback. I have seen your posts on both forums - and this is just my humble opinion, I'm sure you're a nice guy and everything - your posts come across as, well, "het-up" is the best way I can describe them. Hey you know I think there should be a 928 forum here - and a Cayman one for that matter, but posting in large type that you have sent X number of emails to someone high up and STILL have been appointed RS within a week is PROBABLY not the way to go about getting it done, no matter how sincere you may be. Within PCGB there are prodecures for this. Regarding porsche-1.net, it is quite liberal from what I seen there and while I didn't see your posts before deletion I would imagine they must've pushed things pretty bit far before Chris called enough. I do wish I could be more constructive/positive on the subject, but the bottom line as much as I love them and no matter how much they rule my life "they are just cars" - as are the clubs, magazines and everything that surrounds them. I myself have felt strongly about perceived Miscarriages of Jucticeâ„¢ (in a motorcycle club) and wanted something done about it NOW - but sometimes you can just end up making things harder for yourself and the cause you are fighting for. Sometimes you have to stand back and take stock to see everything in perspective. Lets hope this happy ending after all.
Best regards,
Alan.

Hi,[:)]

I see your points but was not trying to "poach" anyone :)

I "thought" possibly wrongly that as we were all Porsche owners that other sites would like to know that another resource was available.....to chat , get technical advice...etc...

I am starting to think that Porsche owners are more interested in Politics than cars [:(]

I hope to be proved wrong on that thought though....

My opinions arre my own and if i was posting as a "Moderator" I would say so,,,I WOULD NEVER delete a posting WITHOUT a warning....etc..unless it was obscene or something equally as bad...I would also post to say what I had done to other members here..."I" would not hide it....

All the best Brett :)

I have seen this sort of thing before and it's best nipped in the bud quick, learnt from and deleted and start a fresh..
One thing I have learnt is PCGB will not move fast on anything and as the most part now they will do lots to please PGB. So just keep the content 928 and all will be well. Sort of bite tongue type thing..as for P1 I am new to it and It looks a good site I will add content as I go.
One thing is there are getting more forums all the time but only so many owners to go around at some point it has to merge this is when it will get interesting..good luck[;)]

Perhaps Chris would like to post the "so called aggressive threads" here :)

He will not of course as there was NOTHING aggressive in them....

I agree with your last paragraph...maybe I was too incensed by the unwarranted censorship :(

Hi Brett, well done with your perseverance with PCGB to get the 928 forum running may it run long and successfully.

I'm afraid i'll be an infrequent visitor for the same reason i won't visit Mr "i own it lock stock and barrel" 's forum in that i have very limited access to the internet for 6 months a year at work but have email access so prefer email based lists and forums but i will be stopping in now and again.

All the very best,
Joe
