I'm having issues with my central locking again. Symptons as follows:

Electric central locks do not unlock with the key although they do all lock with the key.
Doors will lock and unlock from the switch on the dashboard

The microswitch was supposedly replaced this time last year but not sure if a new or used component was used. Before I go buying another microswitch anything else I should check? I have had the 3 pin plug in the door disconnected and cleaned the connectors. Made no difference. Cant find any useful references on Clarks Garage and my Haynes manual is useless.

was actually fairly easy to check the microswitch with a continuity tester. Removed the door card and disconnect the switch from the connector in the bottom of the door. Turning the key to lock you could see completed circuit. Move to unlock and no continuity. Getting the switch out was a right pain involving removing the door handle and i also had to remove the actuator for the door locks as well to create enough space to feed the gigantic connector through the door.

New switch was £60 from OPC in Swindon. Arrived in 48 hours. Putting the door handle back together was a mare especially trying to clip the little plastic arm back on but everything is now back together and my door locks work as they should
