Central locking problem

I wonder if anyone can help with central locking problem? If I use the blipper to unlock I get two horn beeps doors unlock but widows don't drop on pulling door handle. The inside locking switch shows a red LED if the key is in the ignition, pressing it causes lots of solenoid clunking and two horn blips. The window control buttons and the hood control work fine. On leaving the car the blipper lock sequence also works fine. Are there any likely sensor ,relay, or connecter problems I should look at or is it likely to be a control unit fault?
