Hi, You'll find more people see this in the 996 (or is it 997?) area - you might want to ask an admin to move this thread. (This area is for help with the Forum and Website software - not general car help) You can try putting the battery in upside down briefly (to reset it). Another problem can be if the key had been pressed more than 256 times without being in range of the car then it can lose "sync" and need re-setting. Hope you can get it fixed without buying a new key/remote.

Just bought an 02 plate 911 C4 and was provided with 3 keys - 2 remotes and one other. One of the remotes works as I was able to drive away and use etc, on checking other remote found it did not work, did the usual of putting new battery in and then swapping from the remote that works, still no good. Have tried local garage which specialises in remotes etc and they are unable to help - any ideas? or is it a trip to the dealer.

Regards
Bryan h
