got a weird one, my central locking has just started acting up, from the button and the drivers door lock just the drivers door operates, passenger door doesn't. but when the lock is turned on the passenger door it operates the drivers lock also!? WTF?
any ideas greatfully received

Hi, I had exactly the same problem, and I literally fixed it last night!

Whipped the door card off the passenger side, and a small part of the linkage had popped off a little ball socket on the end of the solenoid. clipped it back on, and everything works fine.

Hope yours is as simple!

Alex

Take off your doorcard and you will probably find the small white plastic rod in this picture has broken at the balljoint.

When you turn the key it mechanically opens that lock. A microswitch also sends a pulse to the solenoid on the other door which then pulls that rod to open the other door. The rod has the part number stamped on it and they cost pennies from the OPC. Get two as the other door will not be far behind it [8|]

thanks for the quick and clear advice will have a look tomorrow and see what i can find. hope its just the popped off one :)
