Central locking won't work after battery change....

Hi,
I've changed the battery on my '96 LHD Turbo and now the doors will only lock using the key. The Central locking doesn't work - either with the remote or the centre console button. The Alarm LEDs still flash when I push the remote fob though. I've checked ALL the fuses in the front luggage compartment and they're ok, so maybe it's the CL Control unit, but I don't know where that is. If your name is Mr Tickle, reaching round to unlock the passenger door presents no challenge at all, I'm bored of this now though. I could give my better 1/2 her own key too, but Ferris Bueler's Day Off springs to mind.... any suggestions on how to fix this, gratefully received....

I had the same problem when I removed my battery for charging. All I did was unlock and lock the passenger door with the key. This appears to have reset something and it all work fine now.
