Central Locking

Anyone got a diagram of the driver's door central locking mech. As mine has stopped working. It unlocks but will not lock with the key. It used to have resistance when you turn the key then it would spring the key back to the horizontal position but now nothing. Thanks.
 
Tried a search but found nothing, so thanks for that.[;)] In Mik’s 4th photo down on the link it shows the back of the door handle with a small ball joint type thing and on the 3rd photo it has a plastic clip on it. Anyone knows what the other end of this connects to as this seems to be missing off my car. [&:]
 
The white plastic clip (the one with a small cup which clips onto the ball joint) in my door lock has finally split. I have fixed it temporary with a very thin metal wire and I don't think it will last long though. Can someone please advice the part number for that white plastic clip?

It's actually stamped on it in really tiny letters, it's how I replaced mine. I'll dig out my receipts if you can't quite read it [:)]
 
Paul, I have already attached it back together with a retrimed door card after the temp fix. It will be much appreciated for the part num if its not much trouble. The temp fix seems to work atm so its not that urgent really. Interesting after fixing the split one the other door lock now feels more troublesome. Maybe I should replace the two altogether.

Having just gone through this whole saga with my drivers side lock I may be able to help, On mine having removed the door handle, (but not before snapping the rod connecting to the handle trigger,[:mad:], got a replacement part of ebay for £12) I removed the lock barrel. This is held in place with a screw holding a slider over a spring. The barrel has approx 8 brass levers which retract into the barrel when the key is inserted. On mine they were gunged up and therefore inserting the key made no difference. and technically meant any key would have been able to turn the lock. After soaking the barrel with WD40 this freed them up and with the key retracted they popped out with the aid of a tiny spring, one for each lever. These levers locate into a groove in the barrel housing. Re assmembly is the reverse and can be a bit fiddly getting the key and lock mechanism centered on a toothed cog which locates into the central locking solenoid switch. With everything reassembled the resistance on the key returned. Sorry I haven't got photos, it was one of those jobs I started thinking it would be a 5 minute fix and ended up being a couple of hours, though doing it again would be much easier knowing how it all works.
 
Thanks guys for the info. Just one more request .... Please advice the part number for the small plastic cap that covers the small round hole in the S2/Turbo front bumper. Just couldn't locate it in PET.
