Centre Console Painting

Has anyone had their centre console painted? The rubber effect coating on my 997.1 is looking ropey and looked at getting it stripped and painted either body colour or GT Silver. I've seen some posts from the US where a guy has done it and rattle can sprayed to good effect, and also recently seen a 997.1 that had it sprayed as part of a deal Design 911 ran but are no longer supporting I believe as the supplier lost money.

Be good to hear of any good/bad experiences or images of a good job done??

Yeah I know what you're saying [:)]

Ive been looking at JW Autotrim on eBay (from Bicester) who does some nice Porsche retrimming and looks reasonably priced. Thought about leather but after seeing a 997.1 with painted centre (like a 996) it looked really good.

Have a look at wicked coatings. i have seen some very positive reviews on 911uk forum for work relating to reworking centre consoles and various other parts. Have also featured in wheeler dealers in the past.
