centre console removal

can any one give me any info on removal of the centre console as i want to get it painted ,by centre console i meen the bit around the handbrake ect

complete removal will also need slackening of the 2 handbrake nuts you see in pic 2, if you dont slacken it you wont have the height to remove the console over the handle, eg. the handbrake needs to be raised high for removal of console, just have a quick look/feel how it is set (clicks) before slackening it off, mine is set to 2 clicks.
This isnt a hard job following the links and pics above, its what i used myself
Ive done mine a few times fitting new handbrake and the GT3 console delete kit.............
 
cheers mate ..dont suppose you can tell me how to get the flaps on the door off as well as i want to have them painted as well

If its any help I didn't need to adjust the handbrake to get the console out of my 996, just a bit of manouvering and putting both seats flat back.
 
Yes, but on a boxster the seats dont go flat, the console is almost the complete length of the inside of the car
