I got a faded second set of centre-lock nuts off ebay for a fair chunk less than the £800 Porsche wanted. Got them powdercoated but PC Newcastle have cracked some of the finish off when loosening during a service. Seems the coating is too thick for the tool when big torque is applied.
So... I'm now looking to get the 'first' set refurbed (also faded). Seems painting is a better option to powdercoating. I like to 'shop local'.
Has anyone else refurbed their centre-locks (any type)? If so, where did you go and how did they turn out?
Cheers, Ed.
