Changes since Dyno Day 2006

Okay we are only 10 days away from this years Dyno Day and I thought it would be interesting to see how many people who ran last time have made changes to their car since then and what they are hoping to see out of it.

So come on...... 'fess up [:D]

Changed my car that i am running[:)] so this time healthy standardish figures would be great,no hats for me thats for sure[:D]

nowt - that's why I'm not coming [:D]

There will be some changes by the end of Oct, so I'll be making a separate visit [;)]

I took part in the last two dyno days. The spec of the car was the same in both cases i.e. DPW running 0.7bar max boost, ESS back box, stock chips. On the first day I got 239.5bhp and the second day I got 240.something bhp. The only difference was a switch from 95 RON std unleaded fuel to Optimax/Vpower - although this paltry increase in power could be put down to ambient press/temp or even normal scatter of the dyno.

Since the last dyno day i've installed the Promax level 2 chips and increased boost pressure to 1.05bar and am hoping for 270ish bhp. If I got into the 270's i'll be over the moon. Either way it certaily feels much faster!

Is it only a year ago? Ah well.

I've fitted some new anti slip mats, in the cubby box and in the centre consol......................oh and a Greddy Electronic Boost controller. If Belinda and I get a chance we might have a play with the fuelling and tweak the boost a notch.

The last time mine was on the rollers was at Jamsport, where it recorded 255BHP, but I understand their readings tend to be a little on the optimistic side! So I am just interested in seeing how it compares to other standard turbos (if there are any standard ones left [:D])
I am considering some engine mods so will be interesting to see what results people are getting (but then I am also considering changing to a Lotus so we will see!)

people who ran last time have made changes to their car since then

KWV3, Weltmeister ARB`s, Cup 1`s.........................

It LOOKS more powerful but with a leaky cycling valve and boost leaks I fully expect to get 250bhp, (not) [&o] .............also provided its not in having the recent accident damage repaired [&:]

Have never had it dyno'd before so am just interested to see what the Promax 2 kit plus ESS exhaust and cone filter give before I take the leap further into the darkside...

The only change to mine since it was Dyno'd back in May will be a new mahoosive ESS rear box. Most of you know I don't really like big tailpipes but Jon had one lying around and we want to see just how restricted my standard rear Dansk is.

They really aren't that big. When you get two or three cars together with the same exhausts the standard ones look seriously weedy.

Never taken a car on a dyno before. The car is standard - for the minute.

I have a box of changes in the garage.

Tial 38mm wastegate+fitting kit
Maxhpkit chipset
3 bar fuel regulator
Boost controller

Total cost from the USA - £360 + £35 shipping (2 shipments from different places) + £40 duty.

Also bought flexy fuel lines for the engine bay, plug leads, vaccum hose kit - £100 - hope to have these bits fitted for the day so I should have a standard car that will have all servicable parts replaced in the last 500miles.
