If that's what they are called (?) [&:] ~ the bit of footage in between progs which leads into the next item announcement.

Last night I turned over to catch one on C5 (circa 11:30pm) which had a red 944 with black Fuchs being handbraked around a multistorey car park.

Anyone else spot it? [:)]

Not seen it myself but I have seen similar posts on another forum. [FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I take it just off shot its handbrake shoes fell apart? [:D][FONT=verdana, geneva"]

[:D] I'd had a few beers, so had a loud "Yaaay!" when it appeared, quickly followed by some "no no no" when I realised it was being handbraked around the pillars. Overall it's score = [8D] though.

On the subject of which my handbrake makes clicking noise while driving sometimes (at rear offside wheel) then metallic rattles (often), then the lever feels as if its binding on something...she goes into garage tomorrow, for ARB bushes but will get "mechanic" to look at handbrake...any thoughts from you before I get conned into humungous brake works that arent needed.

Get a mechanic you can trust. Beaky has just come back from Autostrasse and there were several jobs I thought needed doing but they suggeststed they were fine, new brake pipes being one of them.

Errr.... how about.... he was meant to be driving in a straight line in a multi story car park when the hand brake went.... first the one one side and then the other......

When things let go in hand brake dept it isn't too life threatening (depending on your definition) all ... unless you have a heart condition. when my hand brake mechanism shrapnelled, the bang was so loud i thought I had been hit by another car. All the parts are available 2nd hand with the most expensive bits being the shoes (new) themselves. I wouldn't wait for things to fly apart tho. I was lucky in that I was accelerating rapidly when all hell broke loose and would rather have not been decellerating into a wet round about on a trailing throttle when it grenaded.
