Has anyone removed all the gubbins and charcoal canister from there car and have any tips? I'd like to simplify the vacuum lines and free up space in the wing for an AOS. I've found various posts via google regards removing this stuff, but would appreciate any first hand experience and what not to remove...'86 turbo car...

Mine is a 1990 but the set up is pretty much the same and the previous owner removed it with no adverse effect observed. The vent line from the fuel tank underneath the car going to the canister was replaced with a small breather filter.

Hi Phil

I removed mine (86) IIRc when the engine was put back in 5 years ago although it had been disconnected prior to this for some years. As with TTM, I have fitter a small breather filter to a tube that connects to the tank breather pipe, the filter is placed below the windscreen washer bottle, so as far forward as possible. The cannister was replaced with an oil catchment tank, IIRC, there are pictures in my build thread somewhere.
