Chargomat

Reading Hannu's recent post on flat battery I was gald that I received for a christmas present the official Porsche chargomat thingy.

It seems to work but a couple of questions as it did not come with an "idiots" instruction leaflet.

I pluged it into the ciggy socket before switching on at the mains being overcautious, of connecting my beloved to the National Grid, but does it matter?

Am I correct in assuming that the redlight on the device only illuminates when it is actualy charging?

You are right to connect it to car before turning the grid on[] And the red light shows when its actually charging. When the jobs done the light goes out

Mine stays plugged into the wall, with the cigar lighter socket accessible from the driver's door. So when I stop the car, I reach out and plug it in, and the light comes on.

No problems yet, so I wouldn't worry about what order to do things in.
