Charity Track day

This is on the horizon of becoming a reality-this post is seeking what levels of interest there would be to support the event.
There is an increasingly likelihood of a track day taking place at RAF Waddington on the airfield in the summer, dates to be announced.
The idea has been broached as Waddington are wanting to run a charity event for Help for Heroes. The current thinking is a track day on the Saturday for bikes and then running a second day for cars. The length of the circuit is to be determined but should be anywhere from 2-4 miles long.
The plan is currently being formed, the bikes day is an almost certainty, its been successfully done at other bases which have been safe and well organised.
I am wondering how well attended a car day (possibly exclusively for Porsche Club Members) would be and whether membership alone could support it or whether to openly advertise this event to attract all other takers.
The cost of the event is likely to be very affordable, £50 or £60 for the bikes and no more than £80 for the day for the cars (a bit more as we'd let fewer cars on circuit).
The surface is great and there is scope to be topping out in top gear, loads of room to slide too, nothing to hit.
The small details dates etc to be confirmed, the event would have power, some stands and catering, again all for charity etc etc, would anyone be interested in participating and blasting around what would be a fast flowing roomy circuit with full support facilities in place? Post and let me know your thoughts to gauge what the take up would be, cheers!

As soon as I know dates etc I will post along with a means of booking, prices, forms etc. There is great potential for a top day as the airfield is massive with numerous possibilities of circuit.

I will post for my region additionally. Perhaps if the day is opened to all comers as one of the main organisers in this venture I will be able to negotiate a discount for club members. What is for sure is the day will be well organised and safe. I would'nt want to put my car on circuit if it wasn't and I would not expect anyone else too either. I hope it will be one of those events that is a success, puts alot of smiles on peoples faces and raises money for a really good cause!

Last Year I took part in the ASDA charity day at Bruntingthorpe..
I used a full tank of petrol, got a fair few stone chips and probably wore about some extra rubber [&:]

However I took about 30 people out and had a brilliant day for the charity... I probably enjoyed it as much as the passenger did..[:)]
I'd certainly be interested in this..

have done a few of the Bruntingthorpe asda charity days,
the back straight is a place where you don't follow another car, as the surface is very loose and stone chips are a big problem, but like gary says, brilliant fun[8D]
if the date is one where i am not working, we would love to parcipitate[8D]

Hi,
would be interested in finding out more. Please keep me in the loop?
Many thanks,
