Chasis data

I have a 1965 rhd 911 which is just going through its second 'tidy up' restoration. Although it has the chassis number on the stamped onto the bulkhead and on the dashboard it has never had a chassis plate. I have just bought this blank one (and yes I know it if from a later model, it has too many boxes for a '65 but the correct one was too expensive), could anyone with an early car tell me what data to put in the boxes.

Many thanks

With such an early car and the value that goes with it, it would seem to me to be a false economy to use the incorrect plate. I agree with Nick Moss who has huge experience with these cars.
Treat the car to an early Christmas prezzy, you know it makes sense.

Have fun

Hi Richard,
If you look at the Stoddard site you will find one for the 2 ltr 911S at just under $60.
Ref:000-701-101-12 Chassis Identification Tag 911S Fits 911 1967-1968 00070110112
Looks the same a the Sierra Madre, but not $170
Might be of help
Victor
