Chatsworth 3rd July

Seems a little quiet on the Foum! Hope everyone had a good day at Harewood, I made it down at about 1pm, weather atrocious, passed quite a few Porsches leaving early. However, seemed to get a lull in the rain for an hour or so.

Is it too early yet to talk about Chatsworth on the 3rd? Who's going and anyone fancy convoying down (usual caveat of Weather permitting applies!).

Fellow R7 Folks,
I had a great time at Harewood. Yes the weather could have been better but this was the first club outing for my 912E #576, aka Fudge*. The attention she recieved was most intrigueing as, besides her dog ravaged interior[X(] and general requirement of some serious TLC, many folks had never heard of the 912E or realised that Porsche ever had such a discerning Earthtone colour such as Chocolate Brown in their palate during those heady days of the mid 1970's. I also like Togo Brown that 356C's came in to. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all[8D].

Looking forward to next years event but alas cannot make Chatsworth due to other committments[:(].

* Fudge got her name from not only being Chocolate in colour but also in memory of my late lamented Ginger Pussycat, Fudge Pussa. The most laid back, placid, forgiving & even tempered cat you could ever wish to meet. However Fudge Pussa had a most aggressive look which would put the fear of God in most people who were not aquainted, just like a 912E[:D].

Best wishes,
Rick H.

so it was your 912E ... very cool car... you might want to pop across to DDK forum, a couple of 912E owners on there

Hi Paul,

Its the Porsche Pageant at Chatsworth House Regions 4,7 & 8.(Humberside, East Mids & Yorks.) Not sure who to contact but I think 996man aka Randolph Coward may have a hand in it somewhere. The details were in Porsche Post, I will try and dig them out when I am home and post the details on the forum, unless someone beats me to it.

Nige.

Also seems to be a R4 visit to Yorkshire this Sunday if there are any takers, see below:-

Trip to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway on 12th June.

Linda Clendenning has organised this trip out, the detial as I currently understand it is a convoy drive up to Grosmont followed by a trip down the line to Pickering and back. Then down to Goathland for a pub lunch and a sedate trip home again.
Please register your interest asap as we'll need to book lunch places at that time of year.

(Sedate Trip in a Porsche? Contradiction in terms?)

Ian MacKay will be organising a scenic run to Chatsworth. We will be meeting at The Flouch Inn, which was the starting point last year. Further details will be posted nearer the time.

Hi all

Details and an application form are on page 139 of the May P. Post.

If you can all fill this in and send me a cheque for £5 (payable to PCGB) this will save me time on 3 July

You can however just turn up on the day - from 10.00am.

Chatsworth do not allow us to have 'trade stands' but I am sure Paul will be able exhibit his art from the back of his car - sorry that
should be from the front of his car !

See you all on 3 July (if not before) - do not forget the picnic table and chairs.

If anyone needs any further details please e mail me on randolph@randco.fsnet.co.uk

Happy motoring - Randolph Coward
