Cheap fuel.......

We were in Tenerife last month and I was struck how cheap the petrol and diesel were, especially for a small island!

95 RON was typically 1.05 Euro/litre with diesel as low as 0.99/litre.

See here for comparisons.....

Anybody else found other anomalies in Europe?

France is no different to the UK and if time is anything to go by I doubt Germany is either.

Spain once used to be the cheaper place to buy fuel from (when the UK was wanting £1.10/litre Spain were charging 1 Euro/litre). This time in Spain (well, Madrid, Cadiz, and from there to Oviedo) our cheapest refill was at 1.38/litre which the cheapest place being no cheaper than £1.36/litre.

You could always talk about Venezuela but of course they subsidise their fuel heavily and end up with other issues as a result.

Not many stations though - top tip in Luxembourg is......do not run your tank low.
