Good. Looking at the description and the confusion in the questions the existing owner doesnt have the first ide what it is.

No he's not a Porsche fan but had picked it up cheap from a friend who'd "had a bit of bother" with his ex hence the smashed windscreen and dented front wing ! He reckons it was on the road only ten months ago so the state it's in is largely cosmetic and hopefully I can get it back on the road fairly soon.

Blimey, that windscreen took a beating...... []

Keep us updated on progress and send in a Register form for me please, always great to see another Le Mans turn up.

Well spotted.

Picking it up Saturday Paul so I'll let you have the form soon after that together with one for the low mileage 79 MY Lux we recently bought

Im keeping my fingers crossed

...and now I 've collected it, it does appear to be a very decent car. The interior is a bit damp and a little grubby but should clean up really well as should the bodywork damage which appears to be limited to the nearside front wing and the bonnet with minor dings to the front badgepanel and the offside front wing. The mileage is indicated to be in the low 80,000s and the general condition of the interior suggests that is quite possibly correct. I am trying to get hold of the paperwork from the previous owner which will hopefully confirm that the mileage is correct.

I suspected that itd be good. Have you established how the damage came about? That would be a concern to me and its the principal reason why I didnt bid (beyond already having a 944 and a 924S: my record in the mid ninties was two 944s a 924 and a 968)...

The ex apparently lobbed something large and heavy at it which then bounced onto the bonnet leaving some gouging but other than the front nearside wing having hit something on the front corner there doesn't appear to have been any other vandalism fortunately.

Nothing to worry about then. I was concerned that it had been involved in an accident with a pedestrian.
