Cheap Round

John H

New member
Being a magnanimous sort of a chap (for a Fifer) I bought all the club members at the Cramond Brig a drink tonight ... that being me, and the one other person who showed up. Yup, it was a cheap round!

I believe that one other person came earlier at 8:00pm, but had left in disgust before the massed crowds (both of us) showed up.

Come on people, this is dire! Any more of this and I'll start going to the TIPEC meeting instead!

Elliot,

Amost excellent idea, and I'll take you up on that. I'll mail you off list.

As to last night, all was not wasted. Myself and Paul Rossi (another new member, and the other brave soul who showed up) spent an excellent hour over a coffe, debating cars, art, and the general state of the world! (as you do!)

To the members who attended the meeting in Edinburgh. Until someone puts their name forward, as joint ro the situation will remain the same, as it is impossible for me to take on both east and west coast meetings. If you feel that strongly about the situation, then put YOUR name forward. brian ro 1

It was pleasure to meet you Elliot, and I'm glad you are home safe and sound. We must do it again!

I did not join the Porsche Club just for the magazine, I am not much interested in track days or racing, and I can negotiate my own discounts. No, I joined for one reason only, and that was to expand my circle of friends and aquaintances to include like minded souls who also love cars, be they air cooled or front-engined. On this score, my money has already been well spent, and folk like Elliot who go out of their way to be friendly only add to the enjoyment.

I am tempted to make some retort to Brian's rant above, but the fact that it has drawn total silence probably says more than I could.

Happy Xmas everyone!

John H

[:)][:)]Silence is golden . Thats what this forum and club is all about people expressing there own views and interests and I have no problem with that .I can only do what the majority want .hope you can join us for events that you the members have asked for in the recent questionaire brian ro 1
