It's a sad state of affairs that so many 944's are worthless rusty sheds. Sadly, there were so many built that I think it's going to take at least 20 years for all the dross to die out and just the good ones are left !!
I'd think that the next few years will see the big "cull". So many cars now need major surgery that they are scrapped at the first MOT failure. The positive side is that spares are plentiful! [&:]

Hmm, no thanks.. It may seem cheap but how much is it going to cost to get it right again? The guys obviously not taking this seriously, who takes just one picture of a car they want to sell and leaves their mate sitting in it? If he cant be bothered to sell a car properly its no wonder its been neglected.

Nice people sell nice cars, and tend to advertise them well. This one certainly isn't that.
And yet it is also too expensive to be a worthwhile project. Particularly with the rust he mentions. (And if he mentions that much rust, there is sure to be a whole heap more which he hasn't mentioned ... )

The advert seems to have disapeared now, but if it were local (thankfully it wasn't!) and I had a bit more spare cash at the moment I'd be certainly look at it to see how far gone it is. Playing devil's advocate for a moment, if the new owner were to get attached to it then spending £2-3K to sort the rust properly will have ultimately cost him the same as buying a spot on S2 in the first place and he will have been able to do it in stages as funds allow. It would have also saved another 944 which is never a bad thing...
