Check engine warning

I can be driving along on a feathered or constant throttle with no problem but if I suddenly put in large throttle inputs, I have, two or three times now had the check engine warning. If I turn the ignition offf then restart the fault clears. It has just had a service and the problem did not manifest itself during the service, M O T or test drive, and with the Tubi sports cats and system accelerates well and pulls properly, although like Darth Vader, I do not feel a misfire as much as sense it sometimes. Any ideas? The car is a 2004 my 996 Turbo Cab with 21,500 on the clock.

Best bet is to get a diagnostic check done, which will give you the fault code(s). If you want to pop round some time I would be happy to do it for you. Drop me an email if I can help.

Hi Richard, thanks for the offer. If it gets worse then I may take you up on it. Just been to Goodwood in it for their Contiental Classic breakfast run. Never missed a beat. So wet I could have swam there.
