check out my new wheels

the story goes a little like this:

I've got my first track day of the season booked in for later on this month [:D]- my rear tyres are a tad low on tread - probably an ideal amount for a 'dry' track day.
I have delayed getting any new tyres, until I have had full use out of my old ones.

Driving at good speed [;)] along the A1 and I remember thinking the road was quite bumpy, then I smell burning rubber - look out the rear view mirror and see smoke. First thought is that my engine is on fire [:(] and then quickly I realise that I have a flat tyre. Battle to get onto the hard shoulder and install the space saver. I had considered taking the space saver out and putting in a can of goop - glad I didnt do that now[8|].

BTW - thanks to the Police that stopped, giggled and then drove off!
