CHECK STRAP

Hi Everyone,

My drivers side check strap now requires a fix to the "A" post side. I realise that there are threads on here regarding the check strap but they are either old or not what I am looking for which is..............someone who can weld it correctly and not charge a fortune. I am located near Oxford. Thanks for any recommendations.

Dear Kirk,

I had my 993 check strap repair done by Reynolds of Rushock, Droitwich, Worcs. They are Porsche Centre approved, know what they are doing and therefore are not cheap, but they did a truly excellent job. 993's continue to hold their value and if you have a nice condition car it is worth getting it done properly.

Hi again Kirk, Just read one of your earlier posts and see that your Car is not a 993 but an earlier 1972 car. Think my comments still apply. Hopefully other members will offer some alternative repairers that can quote.
