Normally my 997 C2 would not be going into the OPC for at least 6 months when the next service is due. However I booked it in to have some niggly faults done under warranty which included a faulty temperature sensor, fuel filler cap not staying open, boot release button in car not working etc
I am glad I did as once they got the car up on the lift they saw that the inner rim of the rear nearside tyre was worn down to the metal even though the rest of the tyre (the bit I could see) was fine.
From now on I think I will have a good look under the car at the inside of the tyres from time to time rather than relying on a visual inspection from the outside and a quick feel of the tyre wear bars!
