Check your power steering Fluid

Gents,

My car has been serviced on time every time at the Porsche Centre Guildford having covered 65,000 miles, had my engine cover off to have a look and while in there, thought I would check the fluild levels. The power steering fuild was not registering on the small dip stick. Only 5000 miles since the last serviced:

1. Could have a problem with the system
2. Might never have been checked on the service.

Anyway retuned it to Guildford, very frendly, and toped up the fluid, and checked over the power steering system, no problem to be seen. Any way, I will monitor it over the next 5000 miles and report back. This is a service item and sould be checked every time. However lets not jump to conclusions, lets see how much it uses in the next 5000 miles.

Best Regards

William

I am now on my third power steering pump in 20 months ! First was replaced in May this year and this one has just been replaced after 4 months. When OPC Exeter replaced the pump they also found very little fluid in the power steering system.
