Checking reference sensor

Hi.
My non start saga continues.
Been checking the reference sensor.
3ltr S2 engine.
On the 3 pins I'm getting resistance values of 1 or 0.001 depending on what pins I test.
Do you think this means my sensor is broken?

Off the top of my head I can not remember, but can look it up in my notebook. But, one pair of pins out of the three ( two left, two right, both outers, not many combinations) should give you about 900ohms.

Another combination of pairs should give you zero ohms... But one combination should be around 900.

If you do not get between 850 and 1000 ohms on a multi meter the sensor is dead, or more likely the cable between the connector and the sensor has broken down or gone closed circiut, either way, new sensor is needed.

I always recommend they are changed during a clutch change as a matter of course.. Very easy to set up the gap then, especially if the customer follows advice to modify the bell housing slightly to allow it to come on and off without taking the sensors out.

Expensive yes.. I would love to roam through the Bosch warehouse as I am sure there will be an identical sensor but with a lead that is 10mm shorter or longer that would be a third of the price.
