Cheeky request for anyone in the Crawley area

Not sure if anyone can help me out with this, but when not fixing the various faults on my 944 I also help out with some of the events at my daughter's school, and am trying to see if I can arrange a handful of classic/sports cars to have on display at the summer fair on Friday 25th June.

If anyone is at a loose end and fancies sitting in the sun for a couple of hours swopping stories and raiding the barbeque while small children point at your cars, then I would be really pleased for your help. The fair is usually very well attended by children and parents, and helps raise funds to pay for school equipment (There is also a pub about 200 yards away). I promise to rope off any vehicle that you don't want sticky fingers on......... Cars would need to parked on the field by 3pm before the kids are let out of classes.

A big ask I know, but would also be nice to meet a few other classic Porsche owners (yeah I know its a 944, call it a practical classic) as it is almost impossible for me to get to any of the owners meets due to having several small children

depends what day and time as I have small kids as well, but would be willing to help if behind ropes

Hi Martin

Its Friday 25th June (this coming Friday), but cars need to be parked on the field by 3pm latest before the kids pile out from their classes. Can certainly organise cars to be roped off and if one of us stays with the cars at all times I can't forsee any problems. Am hoping my neighbour may be persuaded to lend us his Madison as well, which would give us 3 so far if you can make it..... Hope you can !

Cheers, Alan

Busy Friday, car in a Porsche at 11 just a quick job, so any idea how long as have to be back reasonable early as I have to pick my kids up from school at 3;30, so will it work, then evening I am doing a mate a favour in that his daughter wants a lift to the prom in the Porsche but if it fits in round these restrains happy to help.

Cheers Martin

Probably won't work as cars will be stuck in the field until the end, which is probably around 5.30, but thanks for offering to try...... ah, the problems of owning a Porsche !

Cheers, Alan

So sorry, just a mad day, would be very hapy to help if it worked. If you have time pop over to my place tomorrow 9am boys few P, F L boys having a bacon bun

Thanks for trying anyway - sorry could not join you yesterday morning, but hope everyone enjoyed the informal gathering. Will have to keep an eye open for local meets as it would be nice to meet a few other enthusiasts....
