CHILD CAR SEAT TO FIT 944????

We have a young baby who's child seat currently fits with no problem in the front of our 944's. However as much as we have researched seat options for the rear of the 944 Lux & cab we are none the wiser! We are very reluctat to have to sell both cars just because it seems that there is no official child seat that fits the rear of the 944's / or actual clear law .Like many others probably do, we feel that the rear seats are actualy designed for children & a child or booster seat would defeat the current snug seating position. Obviously safety of the child is the priority . We are totaly now confused with the whole thing & If there is anyone out there who can recommend which seats/makes do actualy fit - pref forward facing for rear we would be most graeful to hear from you.

None of the "aftermarket" ones will fit, but talk to your OPC. Porsche make a child seat specifically for the rear of 911/944/928. For 6 months & older - or 3 months? Can't remember now. Obviously not the cheapest, but.................

I'm sure I read somewhere that the Maxi Cosi Rodi (think that's right) will fit, but haven't tried it myself. Alternatively, have seen a suggestion that you can remove the rear seat cushions (couple of allen bolts) & put the child seat in their place, but also have not tried myself yet.
