Child seat for 993

I have posted historically about the suitability of my car seat for a 6 months + in the back, however now my little one is just under 3 sat in a full baby seat her feet are up against the back of the car seat in front and her legs are uncomfortable. Another forum suggested the use of a Maxi Cosi Rodi SPS which is I think a stage 2 and lasts until they can sit in a normal seat. I can confirm this fits perfectly into the back of a 993, with no alterations to seat belts etc. Only thing I do with this like the one prior is use the seat belt fastener for the other seat which makes a safer connection. (I also removed the seat belt fastener from where the chair sits so it can fit perfectly! Thought I'd let you know. Make sure its the SPS as it has the small base. Bought from Amazon approx £55 including delivery. It may work just as well using the same seatbelt fastener as the chair fits in, however I havent tried as I already had it removed to fit my old one.

to echo this recommendation, I have also recently bought a maxi cosi rodi sps and fitted it in the rear of the 993. Unlike Mike M though I had the seat belt buckle altered by SBS Quikfit of Stamore for a cost of £25. The reason I went for this option, is if needs be I can have 2 passengers in the rear.

Basically all SBS did was shorten the existing buckle and send it back, this way the car seat is not pushed up at one side by the rigid plastic sleeve that the 993's have on the rear seat belt buckle.
