Child Seat for rear of 3.2

I recently purchased a 1984 3.2 (LHD as I'm in Switzerland). I need to find a child seat to go into the back so that my 3yr old can join the fun (we have a child seat that I could put in the front but my wife might baulk at sitting in the back....). The car only has a two point lap belt. I've heard that a Porsche Prince seat would be good but they are no longer available. My local Porsche dealer hasn't been able to help. Can anyone recommend a car seat that is currently available that fits in the back and works with the lap belt, or know where I can source a Porsche Prince?

Ebay or your friendly Babycentre should be able to help. Thing is you should really buy child seats secondhand as you don't know its history or if its already been in a crash situation. Bit like you wouldn't buy a secondhand motorbike helmet.

I think you may be screwed for a 3year old and up with only a lap belt. I am not sure that the Porsche Prince (about £250 - £350) on ebay is suitable for that age group, depending on the child size. If they are anything like the other seats designed for 9 months + it probably only goes up to 18Kg.

I think there is a Romer Prince booster seat, but again, I am not sure of the weight limit. I am approaching a similar predicament, my soon to be 3 year old is a couple of Kgs away from out gowing is Romer Prince, so I am going to have 3-point belts fitted.
