i am very excited to be expecting my first child in November [:)]

but am i right in thinking that there isn't an infant (rear facing) seat that will fit in the back of a 944? [:(]

PS is there any truth to the rumour that 944 is a well known fertility symbol - i bought the car from Slim because he was expecting...[&:]

Thats two of us Novemeber for me too, I think you can only use an infant seat in the front, but from 9 months the back seats become available again. There was a few posts in the past but I haven't searched for them yet so could be remembering wrong,
Tony

[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Absolutely none whatsoever. I've had 5 944's owning one pretty much constantly for over 10 years now and I'm blissfully (in my view) sprogless.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Congratulations by the way.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Congrats Matt [:)]

There do seem to be a large number of people who become "fathers to be" when they are 944 owners [8|] so maybe your thoughts are true....... in which case the wife is now banned from the car! If we have a 3rd I'll have to get rid of it.....[]

For what it is worth - you may get a rear facing seat to fit in the front passenger seat.

Yes the 944 may be a fertility enhancment - I sold my sensible car and three weeks later -Hey![]

Britax

FYI Britax do a pretty good web "fit finder" service which shows which seats fit where in different cars.

Stu

BTW congratulations

Congrats Matt. Mines due at the end of July and apart from pushing back my planned mods I can't wait. I actually think a 944 is a more sensible car than many modern cars. I got my wife to sell her 4 month old mini and me keep the 944 on the basis the 944 has larger rear seats and a much larger boot.

Thanks for all your congrats, guys.

The current plan is to buy a cheap runaround and put the 944 to bed for 9 months. Not sure that we can justify/afford 2 cars at present, but I would be very sad to see the 944 go. It is afterall a very practical hatchback, once the 9 months is up [:)]

Just wondered if anyone has any more information on forward facing car seats for the back of the 944 - as we have waited so long for my daughter to grow so she would fit into one!!! Any updates other than the Britax Ranger or the Recaro Start Pro???
