Child seats in 944

Anybody got child seats / booster seats in the back of 944 ?
Looks an odd shape to get one in.
Not overly concerned - but may have to pick up kids from nursery etc. occassionally, as said before the car I get needs to do some of the normal life stuff so 944 etc. with its hatchback etc looks a good fit.

Cheers

Rob

Porsche used to offer a Recaro seat made specially for the 944... Extremely rare now though.

I've got one in the back of mine. Can't remember the name of it off hand, but I'll find out later and post it up.

Bought it from Mothercare and fits great. About £70 if I remember rightly.

If it is just a booster seat you need, then this fits well:
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_714407_langId_-1_categoryId_165554

and is cheap too!

I had a Brittax baby seat for 944's & 968's - very similar to the Porsche one. Even though it fitted in the rear OK it wasn't very secure and there is not enough room in the back in my view. You simply can't get the tension on the seatbelt you need to secure the seat properly and there is not enough room between the babies face and the rear of the front seat, even if the front seat is slid all the way forward.

It worked great in the front passenger seat though.

As far as booster seats go for older kids I think those Polystyrene ones would be good as you could take a stanley knife to them and carve them to fit perfectly in the rear seats.

My seat was a Brittax Freeway St Anton. You are welcome to have a go with it if you like.
