Chipped and Cracked Windscreen

I jumped in my C2S for a blast this weekend and was presented with a ratther large crack across the windscreen. Upon closer inspection it looks like the crack has promulgated from a small stone chip. A couple of questions then; a) Is this an expensive replacement and is it an OPC job ? and b) Is this an insurance claim rather than a warranty claim?

Bah !!! []

Any specialist windscreen place should be able to fit genuine replacement, and it will definitely be insurance claim rather than a warranty issue. Look closely at your insurance policy and you will probably find that you have a glass excess, mines around fifty quid.

Had a screen replaced a couple of weeks ago , the opc arranged it and it is fine no probs.

Got mine cracked on return from le mans. autoglass got the screen in the next day from the local opc and replaced it at their premises. they did an excellent job, made sure the car was cleaned of all debris and kept it out of the way in their workshop until i collected it. it cost me £60 thro insurance and their job sheet showed the billed cost of the replacement at £521.41.
