200 Classic Cars are assembling in Chipping Sodbury town centre next Sunday morning 30th June for a run through Gloucestershire so if you are an early riser its worth a trip out to watch. Bacon sandwiches and coffee are available from 7:30am when the cars start to assemble. The first cars are timed to leave at 8:45 and all are on their way by 10:30

The run is for pre-86 cars and unfortunately out of 200 cars amazingly only 2 are Porsches!! My 944 Turbo and a 69 911T (anyone here?)

Anyway leaving parochial preferences to one side its a great turn-out of interesting cars and a good atmosphere so if the Castle Combe retro action day the previous day was just not enough get yourselves down to Sodbury!

Hope to see you there

Hi mark,

Saw your very nice 944 Turbo on Sunday morning, also the 911T, very nice.
Very good turnout, lots of really worthy classics on display.
Unfortunately my 993 (1995) was too young to be in such company but I did park it at the top of Bowling Hill (I live in Yate) while my wife and I had a look round.
Hope you enjoyed the drive as much as I enjoyed looking at all the cars.

Regards Steve

Thanks Steve,

Glad you enjoyed the show on Sunday and thanks for your comments about my 944 which performed faultlessly and gave us a very enjoyable ride through the Forest of Dean.

Spotted your 993 on Bowling Hill, you might have noticed that quite a few cars in the run were post 86 so no harm in asking for next year. Could do with a few more Porsches to counter all those TR's, MG's and Jags.

Thanks Mark,

I'll bear that in mind and see if I can't join you next year.

Best Regards Steve
